How can I create a backup and restore my project?

Please be aware you do not need to carry out regular backups all the time, as the system will automatically backup your projects overnight, so our administration team can recover your project. The system backups are kept as daily copies for the last 7 days, weekly copies for the last 4 weeks and monthly copies for the last 12 months.

Backing Up your Project

You can only carry out this task if you are a project administrator.
To backup and restore your project:
  1. Switch to Builder mode, and then navigate to Maintenance -> Maintenance -> Backup/restore menu option. 
  2. Click on the Backup icon  to the far right of the Project name (these lines have a blue background). It will then start the Backup process, and the backup file will be added to the list of backups below the project name. 
  3. When the backup is completed, an option window will appear on the web page that offers an option to download an offline copy of the project to your laptop or PC. 

Restoring Your Project

Once you return to the Maintenance -> Maintenance -> Backup/restore , the Project Backup list below each project name highlighted in blue will show the time stamp of the backup, so you will know which backup you need to Restore or Delete if required. To restore a backup, you can simply click on the Restore icon next to the Project Backup that you want to restore, it will then restore the project, overwriting the existing project.
